May 9th







This was a beginning of just these ragged looking dieing cells producing east of Brush/Ft. Morgan....at first my target in the beginning of the forecast period a couple days back was North Platte...but I wanted to make sure initiation would begin....A cell popped up north of Sterling....this moved east out of Nebraska cutting through the NE corner of CO producing a bunch of hail....but the storm of interest was the cell producing behind the massive cell in front....the outflow fed into a classic supercell....very photogenic....this cell was intense with the nice skinny Beaver's Tail from the south wrapping around into this storm. A possible landspout tried to form from this storm but dissipated from cutoff outflow and here's the pic below....
